Jon Andre Chun
President and CEO
As president and CEO, Jon manages the day-to-day business operations
of the company. He is also responsible for devising corporate
strategy, developing products and promoting strategic alliances
with vendors and partners.
With more than seventeen years of IT and Internet expertise,
Jon has been involved in the development and management of businesses
in a variety of industries, most recently as a CIO and CTO.
He has architected and developed numerous secure systems for
handling supply chain, financial, medical and insurance data.
Jon holds an M.S. in biomedical/electrical engineering from
the University of Texas, Austin and a B.S. in electrical engineering
and computer science from the University of California, Berkeley.
He has published research on electronic medical patient records
in medical school under a fellowship from the American Heart
Association, and has studied at the MIT Japan Program under
a fellowship from the National Science Foundation.
Co-founder and Chairman
As co-founder and chairman of SafeWeb's board of directors,
Stephen is responsible for setting the vision and corporate
strategy for SafeWeb, leading the management team in developing
key strategic alliances and partnerships.
An authority in the area of Internet privacy and security technology,
Stephen has been quoted and profiled in numerous print, online
and broadcast media worldwide, including The New York Times,
The Wall Street Journal and CNN. Stephen has testified before
Congress on the issue of consumer privacy legislation and on
U.S.-China technology issues. He has spoken on privacy and security
issues at the DEF CON hacker convention, and before the U.S.
Central Intelligence Agency.
Stephen is currently a professor of theoretical physics at
the University of Oregon. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in theoretical
physics from the University of California, Berkeley and a B.S.
in physics from the California Institute of Technology. He is
the author of over fifty publications in theoretical physics,
astrophysics and cosmology.
Vice President of Sales
As vice president of sales, David is responsible for all SafeWeb
direct and channel sales. He is instrumental in devising and
implementing the overall sales strategy for SafeWeb.
David brings more than twenty-one years of sales experience
to SafeWeb. He has successfully driven and managed sales in
organizations both large and small, ranging from IBM and Compuserve
to several startups. He has managed revenues of over $200 million
and taken sales from zero to over $30 million. Most recently,
David held the position of Senior Vice President of Sales for
Cardonet, Inc. David holds a B.A. degree in history from the
University of California at Santa Barbara.
James Noshir Hormuzdiar
Chief Technology Officer
As chief technology officer, Jim is responsible for development
of SafeWeb's core technologies. Jim leads a team of elite developers
consisting of several Ph.D.s from Yale, Carnegie-Mellon, and
Berkeley, as well as graduates of Caltech, the Indian Institutes
of Technology, and the Institute for Physical Problems, Moscow.
Jim has developed software for the robotics industry at Transition
Research Corporation, and has served as a research fellow at
McGill University, where he worked on quantum chromodynamics
and numerical field theory. Jim holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in theoretical
physics from Yale University and B.S. degrees in mathematics,
physics, and electrical engineering from the University of Connecticut.
